open Hip Hop Classes

Beginner Open Hip Hop: Saturday, 10:15-11:00

Intermediate Open Hip Hop: Thursday, 6:00-7:00

Advanced Open Hip Hop: Monday, 7:30-8:30

These are classes designed for dancers who want to learn hip hop whether they have a background in dance or not.  You can register for these classes and take them weekly, or you can just drop in and take them when you can.  Students who attend regularly will get to perform a piece in our June Show.  Classes start at the beginner level and progress to an advanced level.  Dancers will be taken through a warm up at the beginning of class and will then develop their skill in hip hop through learning cutting edge choreography. 

  • You don't have to be a student at lolpa to drop in for these open hip hop classes unless you decide to perform.

Teen Lyrical Class

Saturday, 11:15-12:00

This is a class for dancers between the ages of 12 and 18 who have had some to no dance experience.  It will consist of some ballet foundation technique integrated into the warm up exercises and students will learn the art of lyrical dance through progressions across the floor and choreography.  It will be a fun and challenging class, and dancers will get to perform a dance piece in the June show.

 

Adult Ballet Based Work out

Tuesday, 8:00-8:45

Women will enjoy this fun and structured dance based work out class. We begin at the barre for 30 minutes of ballet technique exercises which are aimed to strengthen core muscles, teach correct alignment and also incorporate stretching. The second 30 minutes is either more ballet or lyrical work in the center or even a tae bo style work out to get our heart rates up! No matter if you're already in shape or looking to get in shape, this is a great chance to learn an art form while burning some calories! This will only a performing class if those involved want it to be!
