Our Mission and Vision
Light of Life Performing Arts has been established to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through the expressive art of dance while providing a place for children and young adults not only to find enjoyment and fulfillment in the arts, but to encounter Jesus through class room prayer, worship, dance instruction, and choreography. LOLPA offers excellent ballet technique through use of the Royal Academy of Dancing syllabus. Other forms of dance that are offered include lyrical, modern, jazz, hip hop, and tap.
Donations and Support
Light of Life Performing Arts is a non-profit, tax-exempt dance school. It is very important to us to offer a high standard of instruction while keeping tuition and performing expenses reasonable for each family. In order to hire qualified instructors, provide adequate dance space and equipment as well as put on high caliber performances, we are dependent on the support and sponsorships from partners, Churches, and local businesses.
Where we’ve come from, Where we are and Where we are headed
Light of Life began simply in 2001, offering classes in dance instruction with 40 students and one teacher. Currently we have 150 students and five instructors, and our goal is to offer instruction in other art forms such as music, voice, drama, and art classes. As we grow and eventually expand into a larger building, it is our desire to establish a center for worship and the arts to reach the community with the message of Jesus Christ.
While discipline and technique are strongly enforced, it is our greater desire to encourage our students toward deep devotion and love for Jesus Christ. We believe that children benefit greatly from involvement in the arts, and much more so when the Creator of the arts is worshiped and the center of all that we do. It is our desire to be burning and shinning lamps that bear witness and prepare the way for the Lord’s second coming through dance and the arts.
A Caring and Positive Atmosphere
We provide a caring and positive atmosphere where children can learn the art of dance free from provocative music and choreography; with costumes that are modest and age appropriate.
Our Approach to dance Education
Our unique approach to dance education is effective in developing character, as well as dance excellence. Our instructors take the time to instill quality dance technique in a way that makes each student feel valued. We endeavor to have a positive influence on today's youth ant to inspire the community with exciting, illuminating performances.
